Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana legendary attacker Themba Zwane and his teammates sent messages to their former head coach Rulani Mokwena after he joined Wydad Athletic Club.
Mokwena parted ways with Sundowns last week after having a fallout with the club’s hierarchy led by Sporting Director Flemming Berg, after failing to win the 2023-2024 CAF Champions League title.

His departure from the Brazilians opened doors for Wydad, who quickly went in for the 37-year-old tactician, and acquired his services for the next two seasons with an option for a further season.
Upon officially being announced as the club’s head coach players from Sundowns like Themba Zwane, Thembinkosi Lorch, and Teboho Mokoena sent the former Orlando Pirates coach messages congratulatulating him on Instagram.
“Congrats, Jose,” Themba Zwane said to Mokwena.
“All the best, Ngwenya,” Thembinkosi Lorch’s message read.
“Congratulations, Authi Yam,” Sipho Mbule said on his Instagram story.
“Congratulations, Top Coach,” Teboho Mokoena’s message read.
“Massive Congratulations, coach,” Aubrey Modiba’s message to his former coach.
Meanwhile, Mokwena is said to be set to earn around $74 000(around R1.3 million) per month, and he is set to have five of his technical team from South Africa.
