Five former Mamelodi Sundowns technical team members linked with a move to Wydad Athletic Club after Rulani Mokwena took over as the club’s head coach.
Mokwena parted ways with Sundowns last week after failing to meet the club’s mandate of winning the 2023-2024 CAF Champions League trophy and also having a fallout with the club’s hierarchy led by Sporting Director Flemming Berg.

The 37-year-old joined Morrocan giants on a two-year deal with an option for further year, just more than a week after parting ways with the Brazilians.
The former Orlando Pirates tactician is rumoured to be on the way to having a South African dominant technical team, having worked with the majority of them at Sundowns.
His technical team is expected to be made up of:
• Michael Loftman as his first assistant despite not yet officially announcing his departure from the Chloorkop-based club.
• Sinethemba Badela(second assistant) – The former All Stars head coach left his head coach post at Sundowns’ reserve side a season after Mokwena brought him to the club.
• Dayle Solomon(Perfomance Analyst) – Solomon will be among the two analysts Mokwena is likely to bring.
• Mario Masha(Performance Analyst) – Masha is the second analyst that will be Mokwena’s technical team.
• Sibusiso Mahlangu(Strength and Conditioning Coach) – Mahlangu, who also followed Mokwena out of the club, is also expected to join the tactician in Casablanca.
