Before the start of pre-season, the club parted ways with Bongani Zungu, Brian Onyango Mandela, Thabiso Kutumela, and Junior Mendieta and more were expected to follow before the start of 2024-2025 season.
The latest to leave Chloorkop-based club is development graduate Mkhuma according to Unplayable.
In an exclusive, the publication revealed that the player has been released by the Dstv Premiership champions after returning from a season long loan spell at the University of Pretoria.
“Promise Mkhuma has been released by Mamelodi Sundowns, reports on X.
The 24-year-old attacker has received his clearance and is free to join any club of his choice, as he is a free agent.
“He received his clearance today, so he’s a free agent,” an Unplayable source concluded.
The South African junior international is not short of suitors, as the likes of University of Pretoria and Richards Bay are interested in his services.
He joins the likes of Sekhukhune United attacker Keletso Makgalwa and Jerome Karelse in struggling to break through in the first team after graduating from the club’s reserve side.

Meanwhile, the club is expected to add more players after signing of Bafana Bafana international Kobamelo Kodisang from Moreirense.
