Wydad Athletic Club, under the guidance of head coach Rulani Mokwena, will announce six new signings today.

Rulani Mokwena
Rulani Mokwena is being unveiled as the head coach of Wydad Athletic Club ahead of the 2024-2025 Botola Pro season.

Earlier this month, Wydad announced the former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Mokwena as the club’s head coach for the next three seasons with an option for a further season.

Upon signing for the Casablanca-based club, the 37-year-old was given the last say on the players the club will sign while he is the head coach.

Having raised the inability to have the final say on transfers as one of the things that led to his Sundowns exit, the tactician is given full control of the transfer dealings at Wydad.

Mokwena’s first signings as the head coach of Wydad are set to be unveiled later today after the club announced on their various social media platforms that they will unveil new players today.

“Wydad’s family is about to welcome 6 new members in his football team,” Wydad stated on their social media platforms.

Meanwhile, one of the players expected to be announced is former Sundowns middlefielder, Bongani Zungu.
