Kaizer Chiefs is said to be in the race to sign Mamelodi Sundowns star ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
Having parted ways with six players already, Sundowns is expected to release more players ahead of the new season, as the club’s new head coach Manqoba Mngqithi continues building squad for next season.

One of the players expected to leave the club is striker Thabang Sibanyoni despite the club triggering a one-year extension in his contract before the end of the 2023-2024 season.
The 28-year-old spent last season out on loan at Motsepe Foundation Championship, University of Pretoria FC, following loan spells to clubs like Sekhukhune United and Supersport United in the previous seasons.
However, the South African international is likely to complete a sensation move to Sundowns’ arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, according to KickOff Magezine.
But Naturena-based club faces challenges for the signature of the player from Richards Bay and newly-promoted side Magesi FC as reported by KickOff.
“Richards Bay FC are keen to sign Sibanyoni. The negotiations have started. Chiefs and Magesi have also registered their interest, but nothing concrete so far. The boy is still contracted to Mamelodi Sundowns,” KickOff said.
