During the off-season, the club lost first team first assistant coach Sergio Almenara, who cited personal reasons as the reason why he left the Houghton based giants.
Almenara has since been replaced by Mandla Ncikazi, who was serving as the second assistant coach last season.
Meanwhile, the club’s former goalkeeper, Siyabonga Mpontshane, has retired and joined the first team technical team as assistant goalkeeper coach.
However, Mpontshane’s appointment has been met with another departure, as the club’s Head of Youth Development, Cayl Coetsee, has confirmed his departure from the club to rejoin FIFA to KickOff.
“I have indeed left Orlando Pirates for a new job opportunity with FIFA,” Coetsee told KickOff.
