Themba Zwane is facing an uncertain future at Mamelodi Sundowns, as he is currently a free agent based on what is on the public.
The veteran middlefielder last signed a three-year deal at the club back in 2021, which expired on the 30th of June 2024, which makes him a free agent.

Heading towards the end of the recently ended season, Masandawana is said to have offered their captain a one-year deal, which he turned down, but was later extended to a two-year offer.
Despite the offer said to be tabled, the current affairs at the club suggest that the player is likely to leave the club on a free transfer ahead of next season, with the club set for a new head coach after the departure of Rulani Mokwena.
The club’s Sporting Director, Flemming Berg, has been focusing on signing younger players ever since he joined the club back in April 2022, and that could see the South African international’s 13-year stay at the club come to an end.
Meanwhile, the club is also expected to see Junior Mendieta follow Mokwena, Bongani Zungu, Brian Onyango, Gaston Sirino, and Thabiso Kutumela out of the club before the start of next season.
