Orlando Pirates star is set to join Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the 2024-2025 season, as Amakhosi continues to rebuild the squad.
The Naturena-based club recently decided not to renew the contracts of Keagan Dolly, Efmamjjasond Gonzalez, Njabulo Ngcobo, Siyethemba Sithebe, and Sfiso Hlanti after their expiry of their respective contracts.

This has opened the doors for new arrivals at the club ahead of next season, and one of those players expected to complete a move to Naturena is Pirates defender Bongani Sam.
The 27-year-old is tipped to replace Hlanti at the club, and according to SABC Sport, the Buccaneers have agreed to let the defender open personal talks with their arch-rivals.
“SABC Sport can reveal the two parties have reached an unprecedented agreement that would see a player move between the two Soweto giants should he pass a medical and have the finer details ironed out,” the publication said.
The former Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu FC defender is expected to complete his move to the Glamour Boys before the club had to Turkey for their 2024-2025 Pre-season.
“If all goes well, as expected, Sam would then be part of The Glamour Boys’ pre-season training camp in Turkey from Friday,” the publication concluded.
