Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro comments on the youngsters getting playing time at the club heading into the 2024-2025 season.
Speaking after a 1-1 draw with Spanish second-tier club, Granada CF, Riveiro emphasised that at the Buccaneers is not about age, but about what you bring to the team.

Riveiro and his technical team took six youngsters, namely, Bayanda Zulu, Dimpho Madalane, Selaelo Rasebotja, Mohau Nkota, Siyabonga Dladla, and Relebohile Mofokeng to Spain for 2024-2025 pre-season.
Giving them a chance to prove their worth and be part of the first team next season like the latter has been for the last season and a half.
The Spanish tactician spoke about the chances of youngster playing for the club this upcoming season in a post-match interview with Supersport TV.
“Yeah, one more, the possibility of playing at Pirates doesn’t depend on your age. If you are good enough, if you are ready, if we feel you gonna contribute,” Riveiro told Supersport TV.

“There’s gonna be a moment for everyone, and we need to check also these young boys if they are ready, in good space, and in a good position to fight for minutes.”
Meanwhile, the Sea Robbers are set to play their last match in Spain before returning to South Africa this upcoming Friday, the 19th of July.
