Kaizer Chiefs’ next match during this off-season has been revealed, as Amakhosi are set to play the club associated with a former player.

While Chiefs’ first-team is currently in pre-season camp in Turkey preparing for the season 2024-2025, the club’s development sides have been playing in various competitions like the 2024 Engen Knockout Challenge Gauteng edition.
After the under-19 side management to win the competition after beating arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the final, the under‐17 side is set to host a club run by the club’s former legendary captain, Willard Katsande.
Amakhosi is set to host the club’s former legendary middlefielder, Katsande’s school, Kitoko Soccer School, this upcoming Tuesday, the 16th of July, at the club’s village in Naturena, Phefeni.

The former Zimbabwean international took to his social media to announce the much-anticipated fixture.
“We can’t wait to go learn football. Home is the best. Kitoko Soccer School, we continue learning and exposing the new generation,” Katsande wrote on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the club’s first team has sent two players home from camp in Turkey, after the duo of Bongani Sam and Edmilson Dove suffered injuries during Friday’s training session.
