Kaizer Chiefs beat Sevens Soccer Academy in three of four matches the clubs played against each other this past weekend.
Amakhosi Youth Development Academy travelled to Woodlands International College in Boksburg this past Saturday to take on Sevens Soccer Academy in the 18th round of this year’s Gauteng Development League(GDL).

Under-13
First on the pitch, it was the under-13s, and Chiefs youngsters dominated the match and walked away with easy 3-1 victory to extend their lead at the top of the under-13’s log.
They lead the table with 47 points from 18 games, seven points above second place, Mamelodi Sundowns, with the Brazilians having a game in hand.
Under-15
The only game that Chiefs didn’t win on the day came in the under-15 division, where they played to a goalless draw to see them 13 and three points behind Sundowns in first and School of Excellence in second respectively.
Sundowns lead the log with 49 points after 17 games, having won 16 and drawn, and are favourites to win the division.
Under-17
The Naturena-based youngsters returned to winning ways in the under-17 division, as they managed to edge the hosts 2-1.
The win sees them remain in sixth position with 29 points after 17 matches, nine behind log leaders Masandawana.
Under-19
Chiefs went to close the day on a high as they recorded a 4-2 victory to keep Sundowns’ lead at the top of the table to five.

The Chloorkop-based is currently leading under-19 table with 47 points after 17 matches, five more points above the Phefeni Glamour Boys who have played the same number of matches.
