Former Mamelodi Sundowns middlefielder Bongani Zungu is backed for a Kaizer Chiefs move less than two months after leaving the Brazilians.
With the Naturena-based club said to be looking to add valuable experience to their relatively inexperienced squad, the club’s former defender, Tsepo Masilela, pointed the club at the direction of his former Bafana Bafana teammate, Zungu.

Talking to SoccerBeats Podcast on YouTube, suggested that the Naturena-based club should go after their former target because of the experience he will bring to the inexperienced Chiefs squad.
“Obviously, Bongani Zungu, he has the experience, he has been overseas, he played for Sundowns, he won trophies and he has played for (big clubs), I think at some point he was at (Glasgow) Rangers in Scotland, coached by Steven Gerard,” Masilela stated on the Podcast.
“So, he has got the experience, and again, I’ll go back to point and say, at Chiefs, who is the senior player?
“He can assume that role of a senior player and try to guide the young ones and take the pressure of the young boys.”
So far, Amakhosi has added four players to their squad, as Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, and Gaston Sirino have joined the Chiefs’ family ahead of the new season.
