Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker and Idiski Times analyst Junior Khanye advices his former club to sign four Premier Soccer League(PSL) players.
Since the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, Amakhosi has been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window market.

The club has been after a number of players in the South African football fraternity, only landing four after signing Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy, Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs, Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, and Gaston Sirino on a free transfer after he was released by Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
Despite their recent activities in the market, the club’s former attacker, Junior Khanye, has adviced the club to go after four Betway Premiership players, Rushine De Reuck and Siphelele Mkhulise of Sundowns, Riaan Hanamub of AmaZulu FC, and Keanu Cupido of Cape Town City via Soccer Laduma.
“Chiefs need to sign more players, more quality players like at Sundowns, we need to be honest about that,” Khanye told Soccer Laduma.
“But there are proper players at other clubs as well as Cape Town City and so on, and those are the players Chiefs should go for when signing.
“For example,(Riaan) Hanamub, the leftback of AmaZulu, is the kind of player that Chiefs should sign.
“Cupido, the centre back of Cape Town City, that’s the kind of a player for Chiefs. I believe that Chiefs should have gone straight and signed him.
Meanwhile, he also touched on the difficulties Chiefs will encounter going for Mkhulise, but they should try to sign him.
“I know that it’s always going to be difficult for Chiefs to sign a Sundowns player, but they should try and sign Mkhulise because at Sundowns, he isn’t playing much.
“Imagine Mkhulise playing alongside (Samkelo) Zwane in the middlefield for Chiefs and the kind of difference it would make in improving the team’s performances and results.
“De Reuck is another player Chiefs should do everything to sign from Sundowns.
“Those are top class players that could do well for Chiefs to improve their situation,” Khanye concluded.
