New Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena is set to join Kaizer Chiefs in Turkey ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
A week after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, Mokwena was named the head coach of Wydad Athletic Club on a two-year deal with an option for a further year.

Upon taking over the head coach role, the 37-year-old has been tasked with various tasks, including selecting his own technical team, approving new signings as well departures, and also selecting where the club will be heading for the 2024-2025 pre-season.
According to one of Africa’s best journalists, Micky Jnr, Mokwena has selected where the club will host its pre-season ahead of next season.

“Wydad will fly to Turkey for their pre season campaign,” Jnr Jnr stated on X.
He further went on to confirm that they will be based at Emirhan Sport Complex in the city of Antalya, Turkey, and also that everything is approved and confirmed.

Mokwena will join a team from his home country, South Africa, in Turkey, as Amakhosi are currently having their part of their 2024-2025 pre-season in the country.
