According to one of the leading journalists in African football, Micky Jnr on X(formerlyTwitter), AS FAR is set to go all out in trying to secure the signature of the 37-year-old tactician.
“AS FAR will do everything possible to land Rulani Mokwena as their new head coach to replace Nabi who has left to Kaizer Chiefs,” Micky Jnr said on X.
This comes after the club is set to lose their coach, Nasreddine Nabi, who is poised to join Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next, and the efforts to contact Mokwena’s agency is underway.
“Efforts now underway to get in contact with Rulani,” he concluded.
However, Rabat is expected to be challenged by Wydad Casablanca after the club also showed its interest in the former Orlando Pirates head coach.
Meanwhile, Masandawana under Mokwena last season won the league for the seventh time in as many seasons, won the inaugural African Football League(AFL), reached the finals of MTN8, and Nedbank Cup losing to Orlando Pirates in both finals, while dumped out in the round of 16 by TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Cup.
