Stellenbosch FC is set to battle African cclubfor the services of Mamelodi Sundowns star ahead of the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership season.
The foreign qouta at the Brazilians has been one of the most talked about things when it comes to the club this transfer window, as the club currently has seven foreign players in their squad namely Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Arthur Sales, Matias Esquivel, Marcelo Allende, Erin Saavedra, Abdelmounaim Boutouil, and Abubeker Nasir.

With the South African league permitting clubs to register five foreign players, Sundowns has to cut two players, and one of those players is likely to be Nasir, according to Idiski Times.
In its latest digital newspaper, the publication reports that the 24-year-old is set to be loaned out, and Stellies has shown interest but faces competition from Tanzanian giants Simba SC, who has also inquired about his services.
“Simba had inquired about his availability, while Stellenbosch FC have been mooted as another suitor,” Idiski Times stated.

Meanwhile, Nasir’s teammate, Boutouil, who is also holding foreign qouta at the club, is said to be unhappy after the departure of Rulani Mokwena and has handed in a transfer request.
Wydad Athletic Club, AS FAR Rabat, and Raja Casablanca are interested in signing the versatile defender.
