After the conclusion of the second MTN8 quarterfinal, Ramovic criticised the state the pitch was in and how PSL let the match be played on a horrible pitch.
“You come to a game where probably a cow can break its leg on such a pitch,” Ramovic told Supersport TV.
“I asked myself, of course, how the PSL can allow games to be played in such fields like this?
“Now, they increased the MTN8 prize money, they can increase until its R100 million, they have to start to fix the fields and not to allow my players, a professional team that can play on the field like this? It’s a disgrace, amazing again.”
He further went on to talk about the turn out of fans and how the bad pitch affected his team from not coming with positive outcomes from the firce encounter.
“You can’t even complete a simple pass,” Ramovic added.
“How can we play in such a pitch, and you ask yourself why the supporters don’t come to watch the games? They should come and see this?
“Everyone saw we tried and long passes because you can not play.
“But all in all, it is not about that we lost and we make excuses, I will say it anyway even if we win games, it’s about the principle. They want everything to be on top, but this is amazing, and actually nothing more to say about it.”
The poor playing conditions at Danie Craven Stadium were due to the heavy rain in the last few weeks, and also rugby matches that were played at the venue during the South African football top division off-season.
