Mamelodi Sundowns is said to have temporarily stopped the search for the club’s next head coach after the departure of Rulani Mokwena.
Sundowns shockingly parted ways with Mokwena after the tactician had a fallout with the club’s hierarchy led by Sporting Director Flemming Berg, open doors to changes in the technical team.

With the club expected to outsource a new head coach to work alongside Manqoba Mngqithi, Romain Folz, and Steve Komphela, the club has went against searching for the coach temporarily so and give Mngqithi the reigns for the season according to KickOff.
The publication reports that the club’s hierarchy is happy with the work Mngqithi and his technical have put in preparing for the new season, and bringing in someone new will just destabilize the team.
Meanwhile, the 53-year-old coach is said to have signed a new deal with the club, and the club is expected to make the announcement in the next coming days while also announcing his new position as the head coach.
