Another Kaizer Chiefs starlet leaves the club ahead of the new 2024-2025 league season, becoming the third youngster to leave the club recently.

Ever since beating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the Engen Knockout Challenge Cup Gauteng edition, Amakhosi has seen a number of clubs show interest in their players that played in the tournament.

One of the players that clubs have eyed since that tournament is Steven Mendes, who is popularly known by the nickname Stevie G.
Stevie G won’t be at Naturena anymore after joining the Swedish Premier Division club, Hammarby IF.
The Swedish club is partly owned by former AC Milan, Barcelona, and Manchester United legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He becomes a third youngster from Chiefs to leave the club this off-season after Kamohelo Dhlamini and Kamohelo Mareletse joined Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.
His former teammates like Takalani Mazhamba are also targeted by other clubs like Sundowns, who are said to be looking to sign the young goalkeeper.
