Mamelodi Sundowns scout joins Kaizer Chiefs a day after officially partways with the Brazilians.
Over the recent years, Amakhosi has been accused of poor scouting of players, which many feel has led to the club’s poor run in the last 10 years.

The club’s hierarchy has since taken a major step in how they contact themselves in the transfer market, as they are set to sign former Sundowns scout, Thembela “Tera” Maliwa as the club’s head of scouts according to FarPost.
“Kaizer Chiefs have secured a scouting coup after successfully luring long-term Mamelodi Sundowns scout Thembela ‘Tera’ Maliwa to Naturena,” the publication stated.
“The revered scout has announced his departure from the defending South African champions after resigning earlier this week.
“FARPost can reveal that Maliwa is set to join Amakhosi as their chief scout, spearheading the club’s recruitment efforts moving forward.”

Maliwa brings wealth of experience and contacts to the Naturena-based club, as in recent years, he has brought up players like Rivaldo Coetzee, Jayden Adams, and Tashreeq Matthews.
He will be tasked to oversee the club’s scouting both locally and internationally.
