Kaizer Chiefs Football Club is set to say goodbye to a third centreback in less than two months.

Ahead of next season, Amakhosi management is set to show another central defender the exit doors after showing both Siyabonga Ngezana and Eric Mathoho the door.

The arrivals of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from Supersport United and Given Msimango from TS Galaxy have changed the landscape of the club’s central defence, with a number of the defenders in that position likely to depart before the beginning of next season.

Both Austin Dube and Njabulo Ngcobo are facing uncertain times at the club, but the latter is reported to have been given another chance at the club with Dube facing the axe.

KAIZER CHIEFS SAYS GOODBYE TO ANOTHER CENTRAL DEFENDER!

The 29-year-old was told not to report for pre-season as the club was looking for a way for him to leave.

According to SABC Sport, Amakhosi has agreed to mutually terminate the contract of Dube, who has a year left on his three-year contract he signed back in 2021.

He is expected to rejoin his former club, Richards Bay, who showed interest in him since the end of the 2022/2023 season.

The club is expected to announce his departure in the next coming days, putting an end to a poor stint for the player at Naturena.

He is the sixth player to leave the club after the departure of Mathoho, Ngezana, Phathutshedzo Nange, Cole Alexander, and Khama Billiat.
