Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be set to miss out on the signing of Stellenbosch star middlefielder Jayden Adams.
The South African international has been a subject of interest from both clubs since last season, with the Brazilians thought to have agreed to sign him towards the current season.

However, the 23-year-old is still a part of the Steve Barker team that will look to participate in no less than five competitions this season, including the ongoing MTN8 competition, according to The Citizen.
“There’s obviously interest in Jayden from a number of clubs despite the fact that Sundowns’ interest has cooled off,” The Citizen source stated.
“It will take a big offer for Stellenbosch FC to agree to any transfer at this stage.
“I’m not saying rule out any possibility of a transfer because he’s a quality player, but at this stage, it looks highly unlikely that will leave Stellies because they are looking for consistency.
“I’ve been told there have been a number of inquiries but nothing concrete yet, and after losing Iqraam, it will make it even harder for any team to buy Jayden.”
Meanwhile, his former captain Deano Van Rooyen completed a three-year move to Orlando Pirates with an option for a further two years.
