Itumeleng Khune’s new role at Kaizer Chiefs is said to be revealed ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
The future of Khune has been one of the most talked about things in the South African football fraternity since the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.

Amakhosi has decided not to extend Khune’s playing contract after the expiration of his contract at the end of last season, as they look to hand him a none playing role at the club.
However, the 37-year-old’s desire to continue playing has derailed the club from finalizing his position at the club, but have offered him a position in the marketing department headed by Jessica Motaung according to Soccer Laduma.
“They have been having talks and negotiations between Khune and his representatives, and things are looking good as his of his new position,” Soccer Laduma stated.
“They all agree that working in the Commercial and Marketing department with Jessica (Motaung) suits him better because of his time with the team where he has become the face of the club and he can market it anywhere and to anyone without any efforts as the club is in his blood.”

Meanwhile, the quartert of Bontle Molefe, Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, and Fiacre Ntwari are set to battle for the number one spot at the club this upcoming season.
