Kaizer Chiefs versatile defender Edmilson Dove is likely set to miss close to a year of action after suffering an injury in Türkiye.
Last month, while in camp in Instabul, Türkiye, Amakhosi announced that versatile defender Dove suffered an injury that required him to travel back to the country for further assessment.

“Kaizer Chiefs’ defender Edmilson Dove has joined the Club’s injury list after he suffered an injury during Friday’s session at Amakhosi’s pre-season training camp in Türkiye,” the club stated on different social media platforms.
“The Mozambican international has been examined by the medical team in camp. He will leave Türkiye and head back to South Africa for a full assessment and medical attention.
“We wish him and the rest of the injured fellows a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them back on the training grounds and field of play soon.”
However, just less than a month after returning to the country, Soccer Laduma has revealed that the Mozambique international suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL) injury that will see him most of the season’s action.
The injury usually takes close to a year to heal as we have seen with multiple football players around the globe who suffered this injury, including Sfiso Hlanti and Presnel Kimpembe of Paris Saint Germain(PSG) of France.
Dove is joined in the medical room at Naturena by New signing Bongani Sam, George Matlou, Tebogo Potsane, and Mduduzi Mdantsane as Dillan Solomons has returned to full training.
