Kaizer Chiefs thrash Highlands Park in one of three matches the two clubs played at the former’s village in Naturena, Phefeni.
Having last weekend visited Jomo Cosmos at Rand Stadium in Johannesburg, Amakhosi welcomed Highlands for the latest round of the 2024 SAFA Gauteng Development League fixture.

After a tough round last weekend against Cosmos that saw them draw 1-1, Chiefs’ under-13 side started the day with an impressive 4-0 victory.
The under-15 side continued their winning ways, with a 2-0 victory after edging Ezenkosi 2-1 last weekend in Johannesburg.
With the under-17 side set to battle today at 3 pm. during the under-17 GDL Festival at George Lea Park, the under-19 side closed the precedings for the day.

However, the Chiefs’ under-19 side could not continue the club’s form for the day and their winning ways from last weekend’s 2-1 victory.
The youngsters were edged 3-2 in an exciting final match of the day to end the day with two victories from three matches for the hosts.
The two victories move Chiefs closer to sealing GDL knockout stage, as they find themselves second in the overall league standing behind arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
