Kaizer Chiefs star sings the praise of Mamelodi Sundowns star ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
Masandawana defender Mothobi Mvala and Amakhosi winger Pule Mmodi are some of the professional football players that are friends off-field despite playing for rivals teams.

The duo has known each other longer than their football careers, as they come from the same neighbourhood of Theunissen in Free State, leading to them being close to each other.
With Mvala having a successful time at Chloorkop, Mmodi has shared to what has led to the South African international being successful at the club level.
For me, I think Mothobi has always been a hard worker on and off the field,” Mmodi told FarPost.
“You know, every time whenever we play, he was that guy who always pushes himself. Besides anything, talent-wise, he always gives his best for himself.”
The former Golden Arrows star attacker also revealed why the Dragon(Mvala) is part of the national team that is currently being dominated by Sundowns players.
“Most of the people from our township believed in us. It’s not because of luck for us playing in the national team. They knew how good we are to play in the national team,” he added.
“I believe that can bring too much motivation to the youngsters here in the township.”

Meanwhile, Mmodi is currently in Instabul, Turkey, preparing for the 2024-2025 season with Chiefs, and Mvala is expected to join him in Europe, as Sundowns is expected to travel to Austria for their pre-season as well.
