Kaizer Chiefs urged to go after Bongani Zungu after the middlefielder left Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of 2023-2024 season.

After an average season at Chloorkop, Zungu was among the first four players to leave the club, with the other three being Gaston Sirino, Brian Onyango Mandela, and Thabiso Kutumela.
The quartert were quickly being followed by head coach Rulani Mokwena and star attacker Junior Mendieta out of the club.

Zungu’s departure from the league champions has seen various clubs linked with the player, with the latest being Amakhosi by Vaal University of Technology coach Thabang Rooi, who is a former Chiefs player.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Rooi has suggested that a move to Naturena could be beneficial for both parties should Zungu not relax when he gets to the club.
“I think it can be a good move provided that he doesn’t relax when he gets there. For his experience, he can help the club to do well because they lack experience in the middle of the park. That’s where the team needs to be strong, and since they are building a new team for the new season, I think they should look at him. He can make a difference with his experience,” Rooi told Soccer Laduma.
