Under Mokwena, before the latter left the club recently, Mudau has attracted interest from various clubs across the globe for his performances for both the national team and Sundowns.
One of the clubs said to be looking at going after him is the current club of his former coach, Mokwena, Wydad AC.
The Morrocan giants are said to be set to go for Bafana Bafana international after the instructions of Mokwena, according to Soccer Laduma.
“It’s not a secret that coach Rulani (Mokwena) is an admirer and likes Khuliso (Mudau) too much and that’s why he is talking to his current club to talk to Sundowns about Mudau joining him in Morocco,” the publication stated.
“Yes, there is interest in England and France for Mudau and nothing has happened yet, so this could be a chance for Wydad to get him, but he won’t come cheap or easy at all.
“Sundowns still want him at the club, and they won’t let him go like that, and more so, to join coach Rulani.”
With the Casablanca-based club facing possible ban from FIFA, the move for Mudau may not even reach the inquiry stage.
