Orlando Pirates claimed a 2-0 win over LaLiga side Sevilla in a pre-season friendly held at the Estadio Jesús Navas on Monday evening.

After drawing 2-2 with the English Championship club Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, the Pirates made several changes to their starting lineup.

New additions included Tshegofatso Mabasa, Karim Kimvuidi, Thalante Mbatha, Miguel Timm, Thabiso Sesane, and Deon Hotto.
Despite the changes, the Pirates remained cohesive and performed well against a young Sevilla team, which featured star playmaker Suso.
Suso stood out in the first half as one of the best players on the field.Monnapule Saleng had two notable opportunities but failed to convert.
He hit the post on a breakaway and then miscontrolled a pass from Mbatha after a strong run from midfield.
However, Miguel Timm put Pirates ahead before halftime, scoring from a Relebohile Mofokeng corner that beat Sevilla’s goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland at the near post.
In the second half, Sevilla’s coach García Pimienta made several substitutions, which allowed Sevilla to dominate possession and create more chances.
However, Pirates’defence remained strong.The Pirates doubled their lead with ten minutes left in the match.

Kabelo Dlamini fired an unstoppable shot into the top right corner, ensuring the victory. This win keeps Pirates unbeaten in their pre-season tour.
