Mamelodi Sundowns star attacker Thembinkosi Lorch takes a dig at Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
On Tuesday night, the 30th of July 2024, new Chiefs left fullback Bongani Sam celebrated his 27th birthday with friends and family.
Among his guests was Lorch, who is his former Orlando Pirates teammate, who appears to be a close friend.

During the birthday party proceedings, Lorch took a chance to take a swipe at both Sam and his the defenders reported new club, Chiefs.
With Amakhosi on nine-plus year trophyless run, the Sundowns attacker told Sam to lift his birthday cake, as he won’t lift it again, which was met with laugher from those in attendance after getting what he was referring to.
“Mele uyiphakamise manje, angeke uyiphakamise futhi(“You better lift it now because you will not lift it again.”),” Lorch stated on his Instagram story, @thembinkosi_lorch_03.
Meanwhile, Lorch has returned to training ahead of Sundowns’ first game of the season against Polokwane City FC this upcoming weekend in the quarterfinals of the 2024 MTN8 cup.

While Sam is out injured and is yet to be announced as a Chiefs player despite being reported to have joined the club from Pirates.
