Former Mamelodi Sundowns star resurfaces at SuperSport United less than a week after leaving the Brazilians.
Heading into the 2024-2025 Pre-season, Masandawana parted ways with five players, namely Junior Mendieta, Bongani Zungu, Gaston Sirino, Thabiso Kutumela, Brian Mandela Onyango alongside the club’s head coach Rhulani Mokwena and his assistant Michael Loftman and performance analyst Dayle Solomon.

While Mendieta has completed his move to the Greek Super League club Volos NFC, the quartert of Zungu, Sirino, Kutumela, and Onyango are still yet to land new clubs with the latter training with Sundowns’ town rivals Supersport United.
According to FarPost, the Kenyan international joined Matsatsantsa in training on Thursday and is hopeful of landing a deal at the club after Supersport parted ways with Siyanda Xulu and Keegan Allen recently.
Meanwhile, Supersport is also said to be in talks to sign former Kaizer Chiefs attacking middlefielder Keagan Dolly after Amakhosi decided against extending his stay at Naturena.
