Mamelodi Sundowns fans send a plea to the club’s head coach Manqoba Mngqithi and senior coach Steve Komphela after back-to-back 2024-2025 pre-season friendly defeats.Â
Less than a day after arriving in Austria for the second part of the 2024-2025 pre-season, Sundowns played a friendly match against a German third-tier side SV Sandhausen, which was followed by another match against Dynamo Kyiv a day later.

The Brazilians lost both matches by a narrow margin of one goal, as they suffered a 2-1 and 1-0 defeats to Sandhausen and Kyiv, respectively.
During the losses, Masandawana appears to be playing a different style of play than that they were playing under Rulani Mokwena, as they are more focused on playing with width and moving the ball quicker into the box than the slow build ups they did under the now Wydad Athletic Club head coach.
However, Sundowns fans appear to be against the new style of play, as one of the club’s fans by the name of Jones Maluleke took to his X(formerly Twitter) to make a plea to Komphela and Mngqithi about the changing of style of play.
“Dear Coach Manqoba and Steve.
“This Team might not have Won CAFCL, Nedbank, Beer Cup(Carling Knockout Cup) and MTN8 but in all Honesty “You can’t Fix what is not Broken”, but you just have to Polish the already Shinning Hammer, just Turn those 1000 Passes into Goals that’s all, No Development nton nton,” Maluleke concluded.
