The 37-year-old spent 16 years at Pirates between 2006 and 2022 before leaving the Buccaneers to join KwaZulu-Natal based club Royal AM for six months at the club.

Talking to Supersport TV analyst Karabo Phasha on his YouTube podcast, Jele announced that he has retired and is no longer playing football professionally.
