The Brazilian has since missed Sundowns’ last three matches and are hopeful of returning to training in the next coming days.
“Yes, it’s true that I got injured. It’s been a week where I’ve been recovering, and I’m happy with the recovery. I believe in the next few days that I will be training with the group, and hopefully, I will get some minutes before the league ends,” Ribeiro said.
The 25-year-old is not the only one at the club likely to miss the final, as the club’s vice captain, Teboho Mokoena, is also out with a hamstring injury and is in a race against time to play in the final.
