Khanyisa Mayo breaks his silence after completing his move to CR Belouizdad from Cape Town City FC.
The 25-year-old completed a shock move to the Algerian top division champions, CR Belouizdad, on a three-year deal from Cape Town City FC for a fee said to be around R20 million.

Less than 24 hours after joining the Algerian club in Turkey for pre-season, he held an interview with the club’s channel to share his first words as the Belouizdad player and how he joined the club.
“The President of this club is a lovely guy. He came to South Africa to convince me to come here,” Mayo stated.
“I look at this club and the history. It’s one of the best in Algeria.
“Other clubs were interested in me, but I decided to come here because I love this team, and it’s a great team. Lovely city and the people are very welcoming.
“I am a goal scoring machine, I love to work, and the fans should expect a lot. It will be a great season for us in red and white.”

Meanwhile, City is expected to replace Mayo with the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Kermit Erasmus.
Erasmus is linked with a move back to Cape Town after his contract with Pirates expired at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
