Among the players that the club is looking at is former Braga SC and FC Copenhagen star attacker Luther Singh, according to Soccer Laduma sources.
“Actually, it’s Kaizer Chiefs who are in the forefront to get him. They have made contact with his representatives, but nothing has been finalised yet, but things look good and promising,” Soccer Laduma source said.
“They want to have a new striker for next season, and they feel Luther(Singh) can help them. The player also wants to get back into Bafana Bafana, and playing at home for Chiefs would help him.”
Despite Chiefs leading the race for the 26-year-old African giants, Al Ahly is also in the race to sign Singh.
“As much as Chiefs is the forefront right now, they face stiff competition from Al Ahly of Egypt,” the source added.
“But with him and his representatives, Chiefs are their first priority, and that gives them the chance to sign him.
“So, let’s just wait for a few days or weeks, and things will be done.”
