Former Orlando Pirates head coach joins the list of coaches Mamelodi Sundowns is looking at to fill the vacant head coach post.
The Brazilians are in search of a new head coach after parting ways with Rhulani Mokwena after the tactician had a fallout with the club’s management headed by Sporting Director Flemming Berg.

The two parties are said to have been in disagreement for the most part of last season with the last straw in the strained relationship coming after the club failed to win the CAF Champions League, as well other domestic trophies despite reaching two finals.
Sundowns’ hierarchy is said to have discussed five coaches with the latest being the former Pirates head coach Josef Zinnbauer according to Unplayable.
“Unplayable can reveal that Mamelodi Sundowns have added Josef Zinnbauer to their wishlist as they search for a new coach,” Unplayable said on X.
Zinnbauer faces challenges from the likes of Manqoba Mngqithi and Patrice Carteron for the role.
“Zinnbauer, who’s at Raja Casablanca, joins the likes of Patrice Carteron being considered for the position,” Unplayable concluded.
The German tactician is expected to leave Raja Casablanca at the back of an undefeated season that saw him clinch a league double.
