Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso promises that more players will leave the club before the transfer window closes.

Heading towards the end of the 2024-2025 season, Cardoso showed intentions of cutting down the club’s bloated squad this transfer window.
Intentions that the Portuguese tactician alongside the club’s Sporting Director Flemming Berg have kept, as so far, the club has seen up to 13 players leave.
However, despite the large number of players parting ways with the Brazilians, the club’s head coach promises more departures as he looks to have a manageable squad.
Speaking to media during a post-match interview, the former Esperance Sportive de Tunis head coach promised more departures.
“The intention is still to reduce the numbers,” Cardoso tells the media.
“We will do it together. The squad will be smaller than last season for sure. We can’t have players who are never used.”
Players like Peter Shalulile, Lucas Ribeiro, Khuliso Mudau, Neo Maema, Terrence Mashego, and Keagan Johannes are some of the players that are expected to leave the Betway Premiership defending champions this transfer window.
