Ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star signs a new deal with AmaZulu FC ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Ex-Kaizer Chiefs
Rulani Mokwena during his time at Orlando Pirates with Ex-Kaizer Chiefs players Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Khama Billiat during their time at Naturena.

After a disappointing 2023-2024 season, AmaZulu is well into their preparations for the upcoming season after showing some of the club’s top players like Augustine Kwem, George Maluleke, and Victor Letsoalo the exit doors.

The Pablo Franco Martin led team, on the other hand, decided to retain one of the club’s important players and captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele for a further season at the club.

The 34-year-old’s beware contract will expire at the end of the 2024-2025 season, and he is likely to call time on a wonderful career that has seen him captain Sundowns, Chiefs, and South African junior national teams.

Meanwhile, his former clubs are expected to have new head coaches in the helm after the Brazilians parted ways with Rulani Mokwena and are yet to replace him, while Amakhosi has hired Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi as the new head coach.
