Mamelodi Sundowns is reported to have agreed a deal to sign an African-based star, as Peter Shalulile edges closer to leaving the club.

Having lost his spot as the club’s number one striker since the arrival of Miguel Cardoso during the 2024-2025 season, Shalulile is on the verge of completing a sensational move to Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
The 31-year-old Namibian international has been pushing for an exit from the club since January this year due to his game time being reduced.
However, with his move to ES Tunis nearly done, the Brazilians are also reported to be set to get a new signing during this transection.
According to reports in Tunisia, the two clubs are set to involve swapping of players into the deal with one between ES Tunis attackers Yan Sasse and Rodrigo Rodrigues set to be part of the deal.
The Brazilian duo is reported to have been told to train alone after missing several training sessions this pre-season, as they are looking for moves away from the club.
Meanwhile, Shalulile is set to leave the Premier Soccer League as the second all-time leading goalscorer with 130 goals in 259 games, behind only Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates legend Siyabonga Nomvethe.
