Kaizer Chiefs is told to acquire the services of Al Ahly SC star attacker Percy Tau amid interest from the Gulf region for the player.
The 30-year-old has been a reported target for the Naturena-based club since he rejected the Egyptian Premier League club’s contract extension offer earlier this year, as he was reported to have been shortlisted by the club after refusing the deal.

With Chiefs under a rebuilding phase under Tunisian tactician, the club is set to add a few names to their squad ahead of the new season, and former defender Thabang Rooi feels Tau should be one of the players they add.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Rooi emphasised that the club should go hard for him, as he is the type of the player the club needs to return the glory days back to Naturena.
“I think Percy deserves any price that they can request for him because of his quality,” Rooi told Soccer Laduma.
“You know he can deliver at any place, any team wherever he goes. If Chiefs really need his services, then he deserves it. They should sign him because he will bring a different dimension to our team.
“His experience is also of great value. He is the kind of player you need in your team.
“For me, Percy Tau is 10 times better than both players (Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly). You mentioned performance-wise and lifestyle-wise.
“He still delivered when he got to Egypt from Sundowns. I know he can still do it at Chiefs, and he should not be compared to what happened to Billiat or Dolly as he is in a class of his own. If he can join Chiefs, his money could really benefit the team.”
Meanwhile, the club has already added three more players, namely Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy, and Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs FC.
