Orlando Pirates is set to be without two key players ahead of the 2024 MTN8 Cup quarterfinal clash against Supersport United.

The Buccaneers will start the defence of their title at home to Supersport United on Saturday, the 3rd of August 2024.

However, the Sea Robbers will go into the clash without two key players, Tapelo Xoki and Paseka Mako, due to injuries the duo is carrying from last season the club confirmed on it’s website on Friday.
While giving the pre-match preview of the anticipated match, which will be played at the iconic Orlando Stadium in Orlando, Soweto, the club announced the unavailability of the duo.
“The off-season has presented both sides the opportunity to bolster their respective squads, with the likes of Gilberto, Thuso Moleleki, and former United midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja each eyeing a competitive debut in Pirates colours on Saturday,” the club stated on its website.
“The Buccaneers will also be missing some key squad members as Tapelo Xoki and Paseka Mako remain among those on the injury list after finishing the previous season sidelined.”

The match is set to kick off at 18:00 South African time and will be live on both Supersport TV and SABC 1.
