Mamelodi Sundowns star attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa reacts to being named the 2024-2025 Premier Soccer League Footballer of the Season.

PSL held 2024-2025 PSL Awards show on Tuesday, where the Sundowns attacker won four awards, which included the top awards, the PSL Players’ Player of the Season and Footballer of the Season.
In both awards, he beat Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng and Sekhukhune United attacker Keletso Makgalwa after having an outstanding 2024-2025 season.
Like the rest of the football fraternity in South Africa and Africa, the 26-year-old Brazilian watched the show in the comfort of his home, as the show was held virtually.
Ribeiro re-shared a video clip of himself reacting to winning the award on his Instagram story.
He was seen overjoyed with emotions and shouting “Player of the Season” while embracing his family members after his name was announced, as the top footballer in South African football leagues.
Meanwhile, despite an incredible time at Sundowns in the last season and a half, Ribeiro is heavily linked with a move away from the Chloorkop-based club.
His country-based club, Fluminense, is among the clubs believed to be in the race to land his signature.
