The future of Kaizer Chiefs legendary shot-stopper Khune has been in the air for well over six months, as his current Chiefs contract is heading for an end.

While Khune continues to believe that he has few years left him as a goalkeeper, Sundowns legend Kekana feels Khune should accept reality and hang up his gloves.
Speaking on SABC Sport show Soccerzone,”I wish he could understand and face the reality that he will never play forever.
“At this stage that he finds himself in, one would say leave the game before you start hating the game.”
“The reality says the system doesn’t want you anymore. So when the system doesn’t want you anymore, make sure that you move. You don’t want to watch football one day and hate it.
“He played for Bafana; he captained the Kaizer Chiefs team, which won the league. I mean, he has done so much. What point does he want to prove, and to whom?”

Khune is set to hold talks with the club regarding his future at the club, but at this stage, his playing career at the club seems to be over.
