Kaizer Chiefs legendary goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune sends a message to his former teammates Eric Mathoho and Lehlohonolo Majoro after Chiefs honoured him.
Amakhosi honoured Khune for his 25 years of service for the during the club’s last home league match of the season against Polokwane City.
Among those in attendance were his former teammates and friends, Mathoho and Majoro, alongside his family.
After the match, the 36-year-old took pictures with his friends and wife, Sphelele Makhunga, with the two signed jerseys the club gave him before the start of the match.
On Sunday evening, Khune showed his appreciation towards the two friends(Mathoho and Majoro) by sharing a short message on Instagram, thanking them for being there for his big day.
“My brothers/family @tower003 and @lehlohonolomajoro(Instagram handles) pulled through to celebrate my 25 years of celebration,” Khune wrote on Instagram.
He continued saying,”l love and appreciate you fam(family). Love and peace all day every day and for (my) life wifey(wife) @laaylamak.”
Meanwhile, the former Bafana Bafana shot-stopper is not ready to retire as of yet, as he feels he still has two more seasons at the club in him.
He is set to hold talks with the club regarding his future in the coming weeks.
His current deal expires at the end of the current campaign.
