Kaizer Chiefs youngsters Mfundo Vilakazi and Mduduzi Shabalala share their about how the pre-season camp in Turkey has been so far.
Chiefs is currently in Europe preparing for the upcoming season under the watchful eye of the Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team.

Having graduated from the club’s reserve teams a season apart, Shabalala and Vilakaki shared how life has been for them inside the pre-season camp.

“Pre-season for me, so far has been good, because I am someone who likes to work and here we work hard. We train three times a day, in the morning we are running, during the day we go to the gym, and in the afternoon we go to the field,” Vilakazi told Supersport TV.
“I keep myself motivated by telling myself that at home they are relying on me, and if I give up, I will be disappointing my parents.”

While also Shabalala added that he is living his dream, as he has always dreamed of playing for Amakhosi from a young age, and playing with his township mates makes his dream sweeter.
“As young boy, you have always wanted to play for Kaizer Chiefs. It has been good playing with some young players whom you have been with them since the early days of our careers in the Township, and even when I joined Kaizer Chiefs, that’s when I met them. Seeing them here is satisfying,” Shabalala said.

The South African youth international further went on to explain what keeps him motivated to work hard at the club.
“How I keep myself motivated. It’s the background that I come from. At home they motivate me alot, seeing them happy and supporting me, it is always motivating me to do more and that’s why I always keep on going, keep on pushing, and try to do my best in every session and game that I am playing in,” Shabalala concluded.
