The 31-year-old footed managed to play 10 games for the Gauteng-based club last season but failed to help the club avoid relegation to add to his recent setbacks in his careers.
However, despite the relegation and parting ways with La Masia, the Pirates development graduate has joined Mpumalanga based ABC Motsepe League side Phezulu FC for the 2024-2025 season.
The South African junior international is looking to revive his career and return to top-tier division, as his agent Gerald Baloyi mentioned when he was joining La Masia last season.
“La Masia has given him an opportunity to revive his career since he has been out of the game for a long time,” Baloyi said upon Zulu joining La Masia last year in October.
“He is back now. I’m happy for him because we have been working hard to get what he has today. I am proud of him that he is working now.
“I would like to see him back on the top-flight because we know what he can do. He has proven himself before.”
