Former Sekhukhune United winger Elias Mokwana is linked with a shock move to the Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Having joined the club ahead of the 2024-2025, Mokwana is heavily linked with a move away from the Tunisian side, as the club is open to selling Jim ahead of the new season.
While he is hopeful of securing a move to Europe, the 26-year-old may return to South Africa, as Sundowns is interested in his services.
The Brazilians are said to be considering a swap deal that would see Peter Shalulile move the other way.
With the two clubs in advanced talks over possible talks for Shalulile, the names of Mokwana and his fellow teammate Rodrigo Rodrigues have been mentioned in the talks.
According to reports in Tunisia, the club is looking to use either of the players as a bait to sign Shalulile, as the asking price Sundowns is asking for is a little bit steep.
Rodrigues and Mokwana are currently on the market, as they are not in the club’s plans for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, the duo were not part of the Esperance’s squad that beat Stade Tunisian 1-0 in the Tunisian Super Cup.
This showed the club’s intent to show them the exit doors and Sundowns could be a possible destination for either of them.
