Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has found himself at the center of a legal battle after TS Galaxy filed a lawsuit against him.
The controversy stems from Mokwena’s comments made during a post-match interview last month, where he alleged that TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic instructed his players to intentionally harm Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu.
In the aftermath of the 1-1 draw between the two teams in Mpumalanga, emotions ran high.
Both benches engaged in a heated confrontation, and Mokwena’s accusations added fuel to the fire.
Now, as the court case looms, Mokwena has chosen to remain tight-lipped: “No, I don’t want to talk about anything. They have taken me to court. So let’s meet in court.”
His focus remains on Sundowns, the club he is employed by.
Despite the legal battle, Mokwena expressed pride in his players’ efforts during the challenging game against TS Galaxy.
The match was emotionally and physically demanding, but the resilience shown by his team left a lasting impression.
