Two Mamelodi Sundowns players are on the verge of joining the Motsepe Foundation Championship club ahead of the start of the 2025-2026 second division league season.

Having already seen 17 players leave the club after the departure of Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro, who joined arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, Sundowns is set to send Abubeker Nasir and new signing Aphelele Teto out on loan.
While Scottish side, Livingston FC and Sundowns are yet to announce the move of Teto to Sundowns, the 22-year-old is set to spend his first season at the club out on loan at Motsepe Foundation Championship club, the University of Pretoria FC.
The former TS Galaxy diminutive attacker will be joined at the club by fellow Sundowns player Nasir, who is set to return from a long-term injury that kept him out for the duration of the whole season last season.
Meanwhile, the Brazilians are expecting the return of star attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa after his move to Qatari based club, Qatar SC fell through.
Qatar stated that the reason for dropping out of the talks was because the talks have become difficult, as Sundowns is reluctant to partways with the 26-year-old.
